Don't Miss the Oregon State Fair's Final Weekend!
Salem, OR – The 2011 State Fair rolls into its final weekend with a bang.
Selena Gomez on Sept. 5 may be sold out, but tickets for Sessions Sept. 1 (funk and blues), The Band Perry Sept. 2 (country, rock and soul), and the Judds Sept. 3 (country) are available now and at the door.
The human acrobatic and theatrical spectacle that is “iL ciRCo’s Viaggio” (vee-AH-joh) continues each and every day through Sept. 5. This color, wild, funny hour-long show features music, eye-popping costumes and feats of human strength, balance and skill. Tickets are just $5 plus fair admission, and shows happen twice every day (at 2 and 7:30 p.m.).
There’s plenty of free entertainment across the entire fair: crazy animal races, Chinese Acrobats of Hebei, hypnotists, magicians, music (like Stoddard and Cole, and the Severin Sisters). Music and other stage performance are thanks to stages sponsored by KOIN-6, BiMart and Les Schwab. Competitions and displays for cattle, sheep, rabbits, swine, horses, llamas, goats run now through Labor Day.
