Don't Miss the Oregon State Fair's Final Weekend!

Salem, OR  – The 2011 State Fair rolls into its final weekend with a bang.

Selena Gomez on Sept. 5 may be sold out, but tickets for Sessions Sept. 1 (funk and blues), The Band Perry Sept. 2 (country, rock and soul), and the Judds Sept. 3 (country) are available now and at the door.

The human acrobatic and theatrical spectacle that is “iL ciRCo’s Viaggio” (vee-AH-joh) continues each and every day through Sept. 5. This color, wild, funny hour-long show features music, eye-popping costumes and feats of human strength, balance and skill. Tickets are just $5 plus fair admission, and shows happen twice every day (at 2 and 7:30 p.m.).

The show "Viaggio" by iL CiRCo is an enchanting theatrical journey created by award-winning Imagination Entertainment. The 60 minute show runs daily at the Oregon State Fair starting Friday, Aug. 26, and is just $5 with state fair admission.

Highly complex circus acts, framed in the tradition of Cirque Du Soleil, are characteristic of assemblies Il Circo, which this week will be presented in the courtroom Ríos Reyna del Teatro Teresa Carreño, through Viaggio.

In his first visit to Venezuela, with the help of Showtime Productions, Il Circo offer eight performances, from Thursday 18 August until Sunday 21.

Four Days Filled with Magic in Caracas

The hall Ríos Reyna del Teatro Teresa Carreño will witness during four days of magic Il Circo circus entertainment. From 18 to 21 August, 30 artists will gather to surprise viewers with numbers of Venezuelans "complex" framed by the colorful and the spectacular Carnival of Venice.

It is a surreal journey, Viaggio, whose crew will consist of puppets, acrobats, magicians, clowns and trapeze artists will give life to a history of 13 acts, with a duration of 2 hours 10 minutes.

Children of all ages flooded downtown St. Albert last week for the 30th annual International Children’s Festival, and organizers couldn’t be happier with how it went.

Festival director Nancy Abrahamson said the 2011 edition of the festival was one worthy of their third decade and of the city’s 150th anniversary.

“It was very exciting, very fitting. I think everyone had a really good time,” she said.

In fact, Abrahamson said, the main stage ticket sales were up over last year, finishing at 85 per cent capacity over the five-day festival compared to 81 per cent for 2010.
